Made from an all-natural 100% Premium Blend Cotton, Scheepjes SKIES yarns are so soft you’d think you were holding a cloud. Hand-dyed using beautiful shades of Indigo; a natural textile dye dating back to 4000BC, ranging from the pale blue of an overcast spring morning, to the deep Indigo of a midday summer sky and sinister green of a storm that's brewing on the horizon.
The names of each color from this collection were carefully chosen to pay tribute to various cloud formations, reflecting their character in the unique hand-dyed appearance of each individual skein.
When washing for the first time, we highly recommend using a color catcher as there may be small amounts of residual dye. Due to the natural dyes used to colour the yarn, prolonged exposure to sunlight may discolor the yarn slightly. Please note, the hank needs to be wound into a ball prior to use with help of an umbrella swift and yarn winder.
Scheepjes SKIES Light is available in hanks of 100 grams, as well as assorted packs of mini 28g hanks. Scheepjes SKIES Light is Fingering weight (100g = 340m) and is suitable for needles sized 3.00mm.
